Extended Warranty Policy

Effective date: June 9, 2025

  1. Overview

The BTECH & RIGS Extended Warranty (“Extended Warranty”) is an optional service plan that supplements the Standard Limited Warranty included with every new BTECH & RIGS system (“PC”). It is designed to provide added peace of mind by extending hardware repair or replacement coverage and offering priority support.

  1. Definitions
  • “Customer”: Original purchaser of the Product from BTECH & RIGS or an authorized distributor.
  • “Product”: Any complete PC or peripheral sold under the BTECH & RIGS brand.
  • “Coverage Period”: The time during which the warranty service is available, 1 year. If it is an extended warranty, it would be 2 years.
  • “Normal Use”: Operation of the Product within the manufacturer's specifications and without modifications or improvements not authorized by BTECH & RIGS.
  1. Coverage

3.1 Standard Limited Warranty

  • Coverage period: 1 year from the original purchase date.
    • Scope: Defects in parts and workmanship under normal use. Parts covered under warranty: Cooling System (excluding fans), CPU, motherboard, video card, hard drive, and power supply. All coverage is subject to the manufacturer's terms. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to BTECH & RIGS; we will cover the return shipping costs.
  • Replacement fees apply; if the equipment is returned in its original, unopened packaging within 7-14 days of the original purchase, there is a charge of 15% of the total equipment price. If the equipment is opened and not in its original packaging, the cost will be 20%-25% of the total equipment price. Each case will be handled individually.
    • Remedy: Repair or replacement at BTECH & RIGS' discretion.

3.2 Extended Warranty

  • Coverage period: Optional 1-year extension beyond the Standard Limited Warranty.
    • Scope: Reflects the Standard Limited Warranty and adds:
    – Priority remote diagnosis (response in 1-3 business days) by appointment.
    – Shipping costs would be borne by the customer for both the outbound and return shipments from BTECH & RIGS, for repairs sent by mail to the USA.
    – There is no coverage for accidental damage incidents.
  1. Term options
  • 1-Year Extension: Full coverage for 2 years from the original purchase date.
    • Coverage begins on the original purchase date; extensions do not change the start date.
  1. Eligibility and registration
  • It must be purchased within 30 days of purchasing the Product.
    • The product must be in good condition and fully functional at the time of registration.
    • Coverage is linked to the serial number of the product and its parts, not to the Customer.
  1. Service options

6.1 Delivery / Shipping Service
The Customer sends or delivers the product to the BTECH & RIGS service center.

6.2 Transferable Extended Warranty. Coverage may be transferred to a subsequent owner by written notification to BTECH & RIGS and proof of original purchase. A transfer fee of $50 applies.
6.3 Home service for an additional cost and by appointment.
Available in the local area of Puerto Rico; appointments are scheduled within 3 to 5 business days.

  1. Claims process

Step 1: Contact BTECH & RIGS Support by email (support@btechrigs.com) or phone 407-686-6895 or 787-201-7477 and with proof of purchase.
Step 2: Receive troubleshooting steps and, if necessary, an RMA authorization.
Step 3: Ship or deliver the Product according to the instructions.
Step 4: BTECH & RIGS will repair or replace the affected components and return the product. Always follow all rules and guidelines stipulated in this document.

  1. Exclusions
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) that does not affect functionality.
    • Loss of data or recovery services.
    • Damage caused by software, viruses, unauthorized modifications or enhancements.
    • Consumables (thermal paste, batteries after 6 months, etc.).
    • Natural causes and/or electrical discharges (flood, fire, lightning, thunderstorms, etc.).
  1. Customer responsibilities
  • Back up all your data before any service. Failure to do so will not make us responsible for any loss of data, programs, or active licenses on your computer.
    • Provide a safe and comfortable working environment for home repairs.
    • Install the firmware and software updates supplied by the manufacturer.
  1. Extended warranty transferability

The coverage can be transferred to a subsequent owner by providing written notification to BTECH & RIGS and proof of the original purchase. A transfer fee of $50 applies. Each extended warranty transfer is handled individually.

  1. Limitations of liability

BTECH & RIGS' liability will not exceed the original purchase price of the product (PC). In no event will BTECH & RIGS be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from misuse of the product.

  1. Applicable law

This policy will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the government of Puerto Rico.
